Stacy Wanderscheid, HIA
has advised a broad range of organizations as a consultant since 1999, including publicly and privately held companies, municipalities, colleges and school districts. She began her career in 1989 at Benefit Administrators of America, Inc., a subsidiary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa (now Wellmark Inc.). Rising through several levels of the organization, in 1992 she began managing the accounts of the top producing insurance clients of Wellmark.
In January of 2000, Stacy joined FB&A as a benefits consultant, where she designed and negotiated numerous employee benefit programs for large employers, including unified benefit solutions in bargained workplaces. She has served on advisory boards for the third-party administrators owned by Coventry Health Care Inc. and The Principal Financial Group. She was a member of the School Health Insurance Reform Team assembled by the Iowa Insurance Division. She has also profiled in the annual “Who’s Who” listing of the industry publication Employee Benefit Adviser. Stacy is a member of the Board of Directors of Des Moines Performing Arts and The Bright Foundation.
Renee McPhee, CEBS
has professional experience in all three parts of the benefits equation: employer, insurer and consultant. She began her career in the internal employee benefits department of life insurer AmerUs Group (now Athene USA), where she worked as a benefits consultant for the company’s health and welfare plans. In 1999, she was hired as an account manager in the third-party administrator division of Marsh & McLennan Companies, serving as a liaison with internal operations (enrollment, claims, and customer service) on behalf of Marsh clients.
In 2002, Renee started at FB&A as an employee benefits consultant, where her responsibilities included account management, plan design, renewal analysis and marketing strategy, including direction of benefit implementations. In 2007, she joined Perspective Consulting Partners, expanding on her consulting role. Renee earned a BS from Oklahoma State University in 1996 and an MBA from Iowa State University in 1998.
Victoria McQuerry, AIRC
has over 18 years of experience in group benefits compliance including both insured and self-funded benefit programs. Her product experience includes health, life, dental, vision, disability, and wellness programs. She began her career with Prudential supporting their compliance efforts for the individual insurance market. Her work at Prudential included life insurance replacement awareness and review of market conduct practices.
In 1997, she joined Principal Financial Group. Her experience at Principal focused on risk management for group benefits. Responsibility areas included document retention, litigation risk management, regulatory reporting, complaint resolution, and advertising compliance. Her teams supported internal partners including, marketing, claims, underwriting, and benefits administration. Her continued focus is compliance education and awareness for Perspective clients.
